Today is an important day, we launched the Metastatic Prostate Cancer Project (https://mpcproject.org/home ). The project will help scientists understand metastatic prostate cancer tumor genetics in relation to treatment responses. The project's aggregate findings and de-identified data will be made available to the study's participants (which could be you) as well as prostate cancer researchers worldwide so that future therapies can be developed.
Now, you too can have a direct impact on the future of men with prostate cancer
The Metastatic Prostate Cancer Project is currently active in the United States and Canada, but we will be expanding to other countries in the future. The project is a genomic research study directed and funded by the Broad Institute and Dana Farber Cancer Institute with active support from the Prostate Cancer Foundation, Prostate Cancer International, Adirondack Hike for Hope, Movember Foundation and Cancer ABCs for men with advanced or metastatic prostate cancer.
The project will generate the most comprehensive database of advanced prostate cancer treatment results based on the genetics of the individual man and their tumor. Aggregate Results will be shared with you, and the entire research community. Our goal is simple; to accelerate discoveries that could help you as well as other men.
If you have advanced metastatic prostate cancer, or your cancer has left your prostate gland, you can help us move our understanding of treatment options, sequencing and best medical practices ahead. It does not matter if you were diagnosed with advanced metastatic prostate cancer or if you failed a primary treatment and had a recurrence.

Tell us about yourself
Click "Count Me In" and complete a short online form to tell us about yourself and your prostate cancer.
Step 2
Give us permission to collect your samples and data
You will be directed to an online consent form to get your permission to collect your samples and data. We will send you a saliva kit and a blood kit. We will do the rest--we’ll contact your doctors and hospitals to securely obtain copies of your medical records and a portion of your stored tumor samples.
Step 3
Learn with us along the way
As we learn, we will provide you with regular updates and share any discoveries coming out of the project. We also may ask you additional questions about your experience to help with future studies.
